There are currently 253 Clubs affiliated with peak pickleball body in Australia (PAA), and the number of players estimated to be more than 40,000 with these numbers continuing to grow steadily.
The PAA has doubled its membership base in 12 months, with the sport’s popularity continuing to rise.
Pickleball’s unique blend of easy to learn rules & skills, approachability, fun and accessibility, contributing to its appeal with a wider audience, growth in the sport is expected to continue.
International attention is gaining, with the Pickleball Australia Open running January 2025, for the first time.

Pickleball will always be our bread and butter, however ensuring that we are always offering the best experience for our players is our top priority. That means ensuring our facilities and equipment are kept in peak condition and up to date with the needs of our players.
From using fresh & high quality produce in all of our food and beverage offerings, to creating exciting events for our corporate and private groups.
Ensuring that our venue offerings cater to the needs of our players, means having open conversations about what’s available, such as memberships, Social Play and coaching sessions and our newest edition; Royal Play Club’s Play Zone. Accounting for player preferences around Social Play & Coaching sessions, days and times, allows players to get the maximum benefit from their membership and participation within the club.
At Royal Pickle Club our goal is to introduce Pickleball to as many people as possible, highlighting the sports approachability for all skill levels and experience. Showing that there is a growing community of players in each of our locations, whether you come in with your family for some fun for all ages, attend social play to meet people and your potential new team partners, or a corporate & private event space where team building and socialising meet with fun.
